Default Why can't I suddenly open the hyperlinks I'm creating?

I saved a Word document as a web page and am hyperlinking PDF files to each
line in the document. I've done it a thousand times this week. Suddenly
today, even after making the links all the same way, when I go to test the
links with CTRL + click, I get an error message that says "Cannot open the
specified file." WHY?

Hi ?B?Z29vZGJlZWRpbg==?=,

Is this still happening, or did the problem go away when you rebooted the next
day?

If it's still happening

- version of Word?

- only in this one document, or all documents?

- with all hyperlinks, or just some?

Actually, later I discovered that I was linking from a PDF that was saved in the wrong place, so I actually was navigating through about 12 folders for each link - I guess that somehow caused the problem. When I resaved it in the right folder, which shrunk it down to about 5 folders of navigation for each link, they all worked again. Thank you for your attention, though.
