Default footnotes start too high

Footnotes are beginning about 2" above footer, cutting off some document text
and putting it on the next page? Cannot determine the problem.

Is there a default "style" for footnotes and how do I install it - have
windows 2000 pro?

This sounds like some form of document corruption; see

Thank you Suzanne, read the article but seems very complicated and will have
to attempt a "fix" in a couple days after this document gets published.

Suzanne,
Tried the first suggestion, and under save as, only html's plus 'save as
text' showed up in the box after it came back up as a web?
Also emailed the 41 page doc to a friend and it came up perfectly as a word
document on her system?

It may be a display issue on your screen, then. Or, if the footnotes are
also printing wrong, it could be a printer driver issue.
