Comments - changing default font in Word 2007
I routinely receive documents for editing that were created in Word
2003 with Times New Roman. I highlight everything and change the font to Calibri... but when I make corrections, the Comment Balloons still want to use Times Roman. I have the feeling I should be changing something under the font hood, but I've lifted everything and can't find it. Any suggestions on how to make the underlying font of the document, including Comments, Calibri would be appreciated. Thank you. Don |

caption text is a style - since the documents are based on the normal 2003
doc, that uses the TNR font. A quick and easy way to change a 2003 doc into 2007 without having to select all of the text is to use change styles toward the right end of the home tab, click style set and choose Word 2007. It will change all document styles used in the 2003 docs to 2007 settings, including comment text. If you do not want all styles converted, fix a doc the way you want it to look (you can change the comment text style by double clicking on one, changing the font, then right clicking on the balloon and choosing style, and update comment text to match selection) then click change styles, style set and click save as quick style set. Your new style set will then be listed under style sets and you can then convert the doc even easier than you are now... Comments - changing default font in Word 2007
A quick solution you could try is press ALT F8
Organiser Styles Then DELETE Comment Text Comment Subject Comment Reference. Your default font Calibri Body 10 should then "kick" in which it sounds like you are using in 2007. It may be enough to delete "Comment Text" style. www.docsliveonline.com "Don Ellis" wrote in message ... I routinely receive documents for editing that were created in Word 2003 with Times New Roman. "Balloon Text" is the style you need to delete for Balloons (ooops).
OR you can modify the styles (by changing the font). "Summer" wrote in message ... Assuming all these files are based on Normal, you need to change the font of
the Normal style. -- Suzanne S. To BoniM, Summer and Suzanne... I'm off to bed in Hong Kong right now
but didn't want to retire without thanking you for your prompt solutions. They're hugely appreciated and I'll try them tomorrow. Thanks very much. Don |
