Default Changing default styles in footnotes

You can also change the style of the Footnote Reference Number in the text of
the document as follows:

Insert a footnote into a document. On the menu bar click Format, Reveal
Formatting and the Reveal Formatting box will appear to the right of your
document. Highlight the Footnote Reference Number in the document text.
€śCharacter Style: Footnote Reference Number€ť will appear in the Reveal
Formatting box to the right of your document. Double click on €śCharacter
Style€ť and the Style dialog box will open with Footnote Reference already
selected. Next click on Modify, Format, Font and in the Font dialog box
select the Font, Font Style, Size you want and under Effects click
Superscript. Then click Okay to close the Font dialog box; in the lower left
corner of the Modify Style dialog box check the box that is next to €śAdd to
template.€ť Then click Okay to close the Modify Style dialog box; click Apply
in the Style dialog box and Close. This will permanently change the Footnote
Reference Number in this and every new document you create.

I don't like using the same style to the footnote reference number in the
text and the target number in the footnote, yet Word does use the same style
and i haven't figured out how the style that is automatically applied can be
modified. Any help would be gratly appreciated.

But the Footnote Reference style will still be the same in the text and in
