Default Make a checklist that you can check off in Word?

Can you create a checklist without creating a table in word? If so, how.
Thank you

Hi,

Not sure if this will work for you, but here's what I do:

Create a right-aligned tab at the right edge of your column or document.
Type your checklist items, then tab and use insert/symbol to choose a square
box.
Repeat.

I usually have to end up resizing the square box to a bigger font, but with
vertical select that's pretty simple.

YMMV.
