How do I change Word file locations after network change
I was using a set of files on a networked computer (DSL home portal - nothing
fancy). That computer has been moved and I have moved all relevant files to my own C drive. Problem: my default document location for word (and excel) is to the computer that is no longer attached. When I try to reroute the default location using ToolsOptionsFile Locations, the computer freezes. Even weirder is that it will freeze even if I select "templates," "tools," or "startup," all of which directs to my own C drive. I'm pretty sure the problem is related to the change in network, but the additional freezing up has me befuddled. What do I do? |

I would reinstall Word, this should not hurt any of your documents, but may
fix the problem. "adriennelamb" wrote: I was using a set of files on a networked computer (DSL home portal - nothing fancy).
