Default How do I import accented characters into Word?

When importing data from a database, characters with accents are sometimes
displayed incorrectly. How can this be overcome?

Which database (and version)? How are the characters encoded? (Unicode, or
something else?)

Which version of Word?

How are you trying to do the import at the moment?

There are definitely problems with Unicode characters in Merge data sources
in older versions of Word (2000 and older) and/or when you connect to those
sources using methods other than OLEDB.
