macro AutoExec will not run
I need to automatically print a document and close it. I created a macro and
named it AutoExec and saved it in a template for the document. When the document opens, the macro is listed, but does not run. |

That was it. Great. Thanks. Now, how do I edit the document when it
automatically prints and closes? (I just love the internet when it helps solves problems) "Graham Mayor" wrote: Rename the macro AutoOpen -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Vaughn wrote: I need to automatically print a document and close it. You can hold down the Shift key while opening the document to turn off any
Autoanything macros. However, you wouldn't have this problem if you follow the advice I gave you in the docmanagement newsgroup, and use the right-click menu in Windows Explorer to print instead of using any macro. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Vaughn wrote: That was it. Thanks for the info. However, I issue a Word command startup from another
program to print the invoice. I don't want the user going through un-necessary gun drills to get the job done. There seems to be a difference between pressing the shift key while you click
on the document to open and holding down the shift through the process of opening the document (just in case anyone sees this post in the future).
