Default Transfering files from main computer to notebook

I have some rather large Word files on my main computer. I recently bought a
laptop and installed Word (same version). I want to know how I can transfer
some but not all of the files to my laptop.

Note that my laptop does not have a floppy drive. I connect to my home
computer via my mom's network, which is picked up by my machine.

Thanks.

Not a Word issue. Since you have a network, that's how you'll do the
transfers.

If the computers are networked, you should be able to copy the files via the
network. If not, you could use a flash drive.
