Why do extra numbers show up when I print my 24 page booklet but dont show
on the screen? I dont know how to get rid of these "phantom numbers". It
is difficult to delete something you cant even see until it prints. They
are in the footer on odd pages (but not all odd pages) and are mostly 5s but
there is also a 2 on one page. They are all on the gutter side of the page.
Im getting desperate to the point of thinking of whiting them out before I
take the booklet to be copied.

The mysterious numbers could be frames anchored to the header (or footer,
depending on where your page numbers reside). Try showing hidden text, which
might be helpful. Then follow the instructions at
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting...lyIndented.htm to get rid of
the frame(s). If this doesn't help, simply select all in the header (footer),
delete it and then recreate the contents.
