Default How do I open txt files in MS Word 2007 as left-aligned?

How do I open txt files in MS Word 2007 as left-aligned? When I download
files and save them as txt, they've been opening as right-aligned in Word
(though they show up left-aligned in Notepad). Is there any way to change the
default in Word 2007?
