Hi i'm making a little book with about 70 pages. I would like the page
numbers to start from page the fourth page in the document. I tried inserting
a section break but its not helping - what should i do?

You are on the right track: you have to insert a section break on the
page before the one where numbering should restart. After you've
inserted the break, the document has two sections, and then you can
insert page numbers in the second section (and set a starting page

Insert the following field in the header of your document. Do not type the
brackets, use ctrl+F9 to place them.
{ IF {PAGE} 4 "" {PAGE}
