Default Short vs Long Dashes

Hello- when I use the minus symbol to add dashes, they come in as short
dashes, which we want. But suddenly some of those short dashes are turned it
long dashes and we can't figure out why.

We have checked our auto correct options and the boxes apply -- to - are
unchecked...

Very odd- any ideas?

The check that's been removed is probably the one on the AutoFormat page.
There is *another* on teh AutoFormat As You Type page... *that* is the one
that needs to be removed. In fact, you might as well remove them both, as
well as most of the other items :-)

Hello, actually we have all of those options already unchecked, in both
locations and it is still happening- any other thoughts?

Have you looked at your AutoCorrect entries to see if there's one there?
