Default can sending a word document as an attactment cause a date change

If i send a letter in word via e-mail, as an attachment, can under any
circumstances the date on the letter be automaticlly changed or would this
have to be done manually?

Default

If the date was inserted as a field that is set to update, the answer is
yes. This can be done by hitting Insert--Date and time, and having
"Automatically update" checked, or by hitting Insert--Field and choosing a
date field that could change.
