Default form field format for phone number

The form field option box (form toolbar) does not give a format for a phone
number. Is it possible to enter a custom format in the format box?

If yes, how would I do it for a phone number?

TIA

Just type in the format you want, using the # symbol to represent a
digit. For example, a phone number in the US might be represented as

1-###-###-####

or

(###) ###-####
