Default RED dots in text

A document another person is writing has 2 red dots between each word.
Clicking the ¶ button on the toolbar puts in 1 black dot, but the 2 red dots
still remain. Anyone know what causes these 2 red dots? I would be glad to
email you the document. thanks

Sounds to me lie Track Changes has been used in the document... Those red
dots represent either inserted or deleted spaces. They wil remain until the
changes are either Accepted or Deleted. To see if this is the case turn on
the Reviewing Toolbar, open the 'Display for Review' list at its left end &
choose 'Final' - See if the red dots disappear.
