In the Page Setup dialog box, click the Layout tab. For "Vertical
alignment," choose "Center," and click OK.

To display the dialog box, click the dialog launcher button (the arrow on
the bottom right) of the Page Setup group on the Page Layout tab (Word
2007), or click File | Page Setup (Word 97-2003).

Try this:

1. Highlight the text you want to center.
2. Click on the Page Layout tab.
3. In the Page Setup group click the button to open the Page Setup dialog
box. The button is located in the lower right-hand corner, and looks like a
tiny square with an arrow in it.
4. Click on the Layout tab on the box that pops up.
5. Click on the Vertical Alignment dropdown box in the in the middle of the
box and choose "center."
6. A the bottom of the box, next to "Apply to," choose "selected text."
7. Click OK.

Hope that helps!

Others have told you how to do this. I'll just add that mathematical
centering will usually not look right (will appear to be too low on the
page). To get it pleasingly centered visually, you'll need to add some extra
empty paragraphs at the bottom or (preferably) some Space After to the last
paragraph.
