Is the space at the end of a sentence an em space?
Does Word insert an em space at the end of a sentence or after a colon? or
does it use an ordinary or en space, as would be used between words? |

Is the space at the end of a sentence an em space?
When you press the spacebar, no matter where it is, you get an ordinary
space. You have to use a specific code to insert an en or em space. If the document language is set to specific languages that require spaces around a colon or guillemets, Word will automatically insert this space as a nonbreaking space (this is an AutoFormat/AutoCorrect action); you just type the colon or guillemet, and Word inserts the required space(s). -- Suzanne S.
