Extra Paragraph Return in footer After Page Number
For Word 2007 (& Vista Windows)...
When using Page Number Galleries (as well as Header & Footer Galleries in general) - is there a way to have your text (or page number) inserted in the existing paragraph mark - instead of it adding another paragraph mark? We have also created a few firm-specific building blocks, but even when using the "insert content only" option - we still end up with two paragraph returns in the footer. In other words... Seeing this: #¶ ¶ Want this: #¶ We will be pushing Office 2007 out soon and I know our users will complain over this seemingly simplistic problem, as the extra paragraph return will make the page number appear closer to the document text. (And some Courts have very specific rules about the placement of page numbers and I don't want our users to have to remember to delete the additional return each time.) Thanks for any advice. |

Extra Paragraph Return in footer After Page Number
FWIW, the same thing happens if you paste text into a footer (or header).
The best way to handle this is to set up a template with the desired footer and/or header contents already in place. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "pmsimp" wrote in message ...
