Microsoft Word 2007 docx problems
Why has microsoft switched to docx in Word? Older versions of Word don't recognize it. Is this a cheap ploy to get people to buy the newer version. No wonder so many people hate microsoft. |

Microsoft Word 2007 docx problems
MS has changed the file format to be more stable, more efficient, more
secure & more portable. Anyone who "hates" MS for making improvements based on advancements in the industry needs to reevaluate their thought process. If it were the "cheap ploy" you allege there wouldn't be a provision within Save As to specify earlier version format or the ability within 2007 Options to set the preferred format as your default. Further, MS wouldn't make the compatible filters available for older versions to be able to handle the ..docx format - the FREE download is available he http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...470-3ae9-4aee- 8f43-c6bb74cd1466&displaylang=en HTH |:) Bob Jones [MVP] Office:Mac On 6/10/07 1:07 PM, in article , "quovadismax" wrote: Why has microsoft switched to docx in Word?
