Default Automatic updating SAVEDATE

I have added the SAVEDATE field code to my Header/Footer toolbar Autotext
list, but it always returns the original date the document was saved and I
would like it to automaticly update so it returns the last date the document
was saved to differentiate one version of a document from another.

I am running MS Office 2003 (11.6359.6360) SP1

Thanks for your help

Are you sure you added a SAVEDATE field? It sounds more like you
added a CREATEDATE field.

And even if it is a SaveDate field, you may need to explicitly update it
with F9. If you have "Update fields" checked on the Print tab of Tools |
Options, then it will update when you print.
