Default converting word to works files

I am buying a new computer. I need to get all my current
Word files over to my new computer which has Works 8.0.
Any suggestions?

At worst case, I was thinking of e-mailing myself Word and
all my files and downloading them on the new computer.

If anyone has suggestions, they can e-mail me directly.
Thank you.

Works 8 will open Word files.
You need the install disc to install Word on your new PC. E-mailing the
program files won't help one bit.
Chances are your new PC will have a CD or DVD writer. Use this to copy your
data from one machine to the other.
