Default Disappearing Scroll Bars

Folks:

I am using Microsoft Word 2000.

Recently I noticed the vertical scroll bars at the left of my screen
disappeared. Thus there is no "button" to grab when I wish to move to
different places in my WORD documents. Thus if a document is 100 pages long
it becomes very difficult to jump to page 85 without having to move
sequentially from one page to another.

* Is there some configuration that I can set to get back my vertical
scroll bars ?

Thanks,
Jo.

You wouldn't have a vertical scroll bar on the *left* unless you're using a
right-to-left language version of Word, I think, but try checking "Vertical
scroll bar" on the View tab of Tools | Options.

You could use the goto facility. Type ctrl-G and then the page number and
enter.

Or note an unusual word nearby in your document and use find (ctrl-F and the
word and enter)
