When I save a Word 2007 document it saves it as Read-Only
When I save a Word 2007 document it saves it as Read-Only. Even if I open a
document that isn't Read-Only, when I save it back on the network, it is saved as Read-Only. |

This could be arising from Word, your OS, or the network/sharing
arrangements/IT department I'd start by experimenting a little to see which it is. e.g. - try the same thing as you did except on your local drive - try the same thing as you did except with a different application than Word "Peter H" wrote: When I save a Word 2007 document it saves it as Read-Only. There is a related issue - though perhaps not your problem! - I see regularly
with a combination of Word 200 and Vista: even though the doc is NOT saved as read-only, Word does not seem to release its lock on it when it quits... though I suspect that this is a Vista issue as it didn't happen under XP. See if the problem occurs when the document is saved to a local drive. |
