Default Recovered Word doc after surprise shutdown

My autosave is on, but I can't find a doc that should have been recoverable
after a surprise shutdown. Where can I go to find it?

You did, of course, actually save the document at least once before
the crash?

(There's no such thing as "autosave." AutoRecover helps with saved
documents.)

If so, the recovered document(s) should open up automatically when you
start Word.

AutoRecover also recovers unsaved documents provided they've been open long
enough to have experienced at least one AutoRecovery save.
