Default house name field generates blank line if there is no house name

I have set up an address mail merge using the field 'house name' but
addresses without a house name appear with a blank line between the addressee
and the house number, street line. Help!

Use an If...then...Else field construction

{ IF { MERGEFIELD HouseName } "" "{ MERGEFIELD HouseName } [Enter]
{ MERGEFIELD Street }" "{ MERGEFIELD Street }" }

Where [Enter} appears above, use the Enter key or Shift+Enter.

You must use Ctrl+F9 to insert each pair of field delimiters { } and Alt+F9
to toggle off their display.
