Default Data Issue - How do i get rid of 3.999999999999999999999

When i open the data from an excel sheet some of the figures have got a large
number of decimal places witihn them. They are not part of the original
spreadsheet though. Am i opneing the data wrong? Please please help!!!

Default Data Issue - How do i get rid of 3.999999999999999999999

Word mail merge inserts the underlying data without the Excel formatting.
Use a formatting switch to reformat in the manner you want it to appear -
