Default Formating Table of Contents by Styles

Any place I can find directions to do this. The TOC style is some
mysterious entity. Not even CrossEyes can penetrate it.

Hi srd,

What exactly is the problem?

- Create a TOC, (be sure to clear "Use hyperlinks instead of page numbers"
when doing so),
- place the cursor in the TOC on the level with the style that you want to
modify (you may have to press Ctrl or else you'll wind up elsewhere in your
document),
- choose Format | Styles and formatting...
- expand the list near the top of the task pane on the right and choose
Modify...

Please elaborate on what you want to do with the TOC style, or why you think
it is a mysterious entity.

Success,
Cooz
