Drop downs won't retain entry macros
Drop downs won't retain entry macros:
I created a rather large template for our staff to use when filling in information about "xyz"... When they click the first parent drop down the corresponding information populates in the child drop down. Some what like a cascading drop down. My problem is the staff filled out all of the information for the first section of the year on "xyz". It is now the second section and time to reopen the "xyz" file and update the information. When they click the parent drop down that contains the populate vb macro to populate the child drop down the "run macro on entry" is empty. I can go in and choose what macro i want but i would have to do this with over 100 questions. Shouldn't word have retained the macros in the drop downs? every one of them are empty. Therefore when I click the first Parent drop down, the second one is blank unless i go in and select the macro that was originally in that field. I'd be happy to send a copy of the document to anyone that would be interested in giving me a hand... ANY help would be greatly appreciated |
