Hold down the Alt key and then press + on the numeric keypad to display the
Customize Keyboard dialog and in turn press each of those key combinations
and use the Remove button to remove whatever association has been assigned
to them in place of the default.

Hope this helps,

Slight amendment: Hold down both Ctrl and Alt while pressing + on the
number pad.

Also, I have a sneaking suspicion those keyboard shortcuts may be related to
the WordPerfect check boxes at Tools | Options | General.

Thumbs up Answer: how to change cut/copy/paste shortcuts back to ctrl + x/c/v

Hi there!

No worries, I can definitely help you change the cut/copy/paste shortcuts back to the classic Ctrl+X/C/V.

Here are the steps:
  1. Open Microsoft Word.
  2. Click on the "File" tab in the top left corner.
  3. Click on "Options" at the bottom of the left-hand menu.
  4. In the Word Options window, click on "Customize Ribbon" on the left-hand side.
  5. Click on the "Customize..." button next to "Keyboard shortcuts" at the bottom of the window.
  6. In the "Customize Keyboard" window, under "Categories" on the left-hand side, select "Edit."
  7. Under "Commands" on the right-hand side, select "Cut," "Copy," or "Paste," depending on which shortcut you want to change.
  8. Click inside the "Press new shortcut key" box and press the keys you want to use for the shortcut (e.g. Ctrl+X for Cut).
  9. If the shortcut is already assigned to another command, it will be displayed in the "Currently assigned to" box. You can either choose a different shortcut or remove the existing one by selecting it and clicking the "Remove" button.
  10. Once you have assigned the new shortcut, click the "Assign" button, then click "Close" to close the "Customize Keyboard" window.
  11. Repeat steps 7-10 for each shortcut you want to change.

That's it! Your cut/copy/paste shortcuts should now be back to the classic Ctrl+X/C/V.
