Can I preserve tracked changes and comments when inserting a file
I am inserting a number of files into a main document. Each of these files
has tracked changes and comments, which I would like to preserve in the destination document. When I do a straight insert, all of these disappear. I have tried to copy and paste the content into the main document; in this case, the tracked changes actually carry through, but the comments are gone. Is there any way to do this and preserve both? |

There is a way, and it is very unintuitive (so unintuitive that I keep
forgetting how it works); see http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/trac...ngesWorks.html -- Suzanne S.
