Section breaks and headers
I have inserted a section break (new page) and now want to put a header for
the pages that follow the section break. I open the page header and start to type. Everything is fine for two lines of text. When I hit return, or shift return, to start the 3rd line of text it automatically makes it the header for section 1. In page set up I have selected from this point on, but it still wants to jump back to the previous section whenever I go the to the third line of text. I am baffled. I am using Word 2003 in Windows XP environment. -- Pat Nashville Public Works |

I just figured it out. You have to turn off the "link to previous" option on
the header tool bar. -- Pat Nashville Public Works "Nashville_PW" wrote: I have inserted a section break (new page) and now want to put a header for the pages that follow the section break.
