Default Unprotect columns in protected sheet

Using Word 2007

I have created a document with a table. I need to protect the document but
allow two columns to be edited by others. I have done this part but in the
columns to be edited there appears a yellowish box (I guess showing the
columns available for edit). Can this be deleted? They do not print but are
a little confusing visually. I only have two columns to be edited by others
and they will have no problem with knowing which columns they can edit.

Forget it. I had overlooked a checkbox.
