how to import data from a single-column text file to a multi-columntable?
Hi,
I have a text file (.txt) which maintains only one column of data. Is there a way to import the data to a 3-column table so that the data will be fed into the 1st column on the 1st page, then 2nd and 3rd columns. If there are more data, the rest will be fed into the columns on the next pages in the same manner? Please see the illustration below. Can MS Excel do a better job in this regard? Your help is much appreciated. 1st page: 1 7 13 2 8 14 3 9 15 4 10 16 5 11 17 6 12 18 2nd page: 19 25 31 20 26 32 21 27 33 22 28 23 29 24 30 Tony |

Tony: Can't you use columns? Just Format--Columns and choose 3.
