Delay in Opening Documents
I have been having a 30 second to sometimes a 2 minute delay when opening
documents. The file size is rather small, I am running Office 2003 and I have disabled the Norton - Office Plug in. Any idea what could be causing this? |

recently changed. "Charles Kenyon" wrote: Have you changed the server or location of your template folders recently? Even if the location hasn't changed, if your network configuration has
changed that may have changed the address. What you describe sounds like documents looking for the attached template. If this is the case, they will open faster when you are not connected to the network. You can fix this but it is a pain. You open the document and then attach the normal.dot template to the document and save it. The strange thing about this is it only happens for a few people with a few
documents (not all of their documents have this problem). It even happens when there is no network connection.
