Change font color from the keyboard
I am editing-rewriting a major document and want to insert text in a second
color. Each time I get to an insertion point do I have to go through the tedious user interface to make the change? Is there a way to with some slick keyboard fingering I could insert text in red without going through the Format-Font-Color routine? Thank you for your help. WMD in Houston |

You can make it a Character Style, and assign a keyboard shortcut to
it (from the Modify Style panel, which you get at in different ways depending on your version of Word). Change font color from the keyboard
Thank you for your help.
I've managed to create a style that enables the creation of "red" characters with a keyboard combination. How do I, with the keyboard, switch back to "Normal?" Your help is very much appreciated. Character style keyboard shortcuts are toggle switches -- type the
same keyboard shortcut to get out of the character style. Change font color from the keyboard
A toggle switch, that's very useful information... (I should have thought of
that...) Thanks again for everything. WMD in Houston "grammatim" wrote: Character style keyboard shortcuts are toggle switches -- type the same keyboard shortcut to get out of the character style.
