Background image
Hello Everyone.
Our office's computers all have Word 2000 on them, and almost all of our correspondence goes out via email. What we want to do is have a background image on the page which contains our logo at the top and a stylized address line at the bottom with a light gradient between the two. We have the image ready but are having trouble getting it to work. 1. We tried inserting it anchored to the header as a watermark, but it is too washed out when viewed. It's OK when printed but, like I said, most of this correspondence goes out by email so it isn't printed. 2. We tried inserting it anchored to the main page too, and it looks just fine. However, every time we click on the text area, we end up 'selecting' the image instead of the text we're trying to type or edit. Is there a way we can get the desired visual effect of #2 and keep from 'selecting' the image when we click on the text portion? Is there another method we should be using to do this? Thanks. |

I would suggest that you send out the correspondence in the form of .pdf
files. That will overcome your washed out problem. -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis.
