Unable to rotate Excel object pasted into Word
I am creating a report in which I have inserted an Excel document, but the
Excel sheet is in landscape format. When I paste it into the Word report, (which is in portrait layout), the Excel object just falls off the edge of the page. I have tried every text wrap setting to try to enable the "rotate picture" function, but it's greyed out for every option. How can I rotate the Excel spreadsheet? |

Unable to rotate Excel object pasted into Word
Hi Brandie-
That's because what you are pasting in is _not_ a picture. As long as you don't deed updating, revisions, etc., try it this way... Go into the XL file, select & copy the content you want. Then, in your Word doc, go to EditPaste Special & select one of the Picture options (Windows Metafile or Enhanced Metafile). You should be able rotate either with no problem, although they can no longer be edited for text/formatting in Word. Unable to rotate Excel object pasted into Word
Thanks for jumping in to the rescue again taz. You're becoming my Word
hero! Pasting in as a picture is fine if that's the only option...but if I *do* need linking, is that possible?
