Default Word conversion to PDF looks ugly - table gridlines

I am converting Word 2002 to Adobe Acrobat 6.0. There are a lot of tables in
my report that look good in Word, however when they get converted, some of
the table gridlines go away, some decrease in width, some increase in width.

Help! How do I fix this. I have to create PDFs of 9000 reports.

Are you using Distiller to convert your documents? Unless you
have linking in your Word documents which you want carried over
into your PDF document, I would suggest that you Print to the
AdobePDF printer instead. Make sure you are embedding all of
your fonts in the resulting document.

We had quite a few problems like what you are suggesting with
Acrobat 6. We ended up backing up to Acrobat 5 until Acrobat 7
came along. So far so good with 7.

Acrobat 6 is "buggy", unfortunately. 7 seems to be fine. I had
the unfortunate experience of discovering 6's problems as I was
doing my taxes; the tax program used the reader for printing -
ouch!
