Default problem with images in Word

I realize what I am about to do is a bit of a no-no, but please forgive
me. I posted this question over in the gaphics forum about a day and a
half ago, but that place doesn't get quite as much traffic as this forum
does and I have yet to receive any responses. So if you can put up with
the cross-posting here is my question:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Howdy Folks,
I have a question regarding how Word is handling my linked enhanced
metafile images. I have about 35 of these images inserted in an 80 page
Word document. Each of the EMF files has a 1 pixel border around it as
part of the image (borders are not created using Word's borders and
shading feature) and all the images are inserted at 100% of their
original size and are 6 inches by 8 inches.
When printing from Word, the border on the right side of the image
frequently does not print. However, if I distill the document to PDF and
then send the PDF document to the printer I can see the borders, but the
right border is still a touch skinnier than the others.
One other item of note, these images are inserted into the cells of
tables so that I could more easily control page breaks and caption
placement. There is one image and one caption per page. Any ideas? I
would like to be able to print from Word if possible. Many thanks.
Sincerely,
Thomas Campitelli
Believe me, you have a much better chance of getting an answer in
drawing.graphics than here. I saw your post there and would have answered it
if I could. Your best bet is to hope that Bob Buckland has an answer.
