Cell shading in Tables
I have a table that I am trying to add some shading to certain cells and some
are fine, but others have 1/8 inch unshaded area at the bottom of the cell. Why? Thanks, |

In the Format Borders and Shading dialog, pay special attention to the Apply To box in the bottom right corner. It should say "Table" or "Cell" and not "Paragraph". -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org |

I'm having the same problem. I checked the "apply to" setting and it is set
for "Cell" and not "Paragraph". Any other ideas? Thanks! Hmm... Does the last paragraph in the cell have a different shading
than the cell, and/or a nonzero Space After setting in the Format Paragraph dialog? Try selecting the cell contents and going through the Shading dialog three times, setting each of Paragraph, Cell, and Table to "No Fill". Then apply just the cell background. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org On Tue, 14 Dec 2004 09:33:02 -0800, MarieW wrote: I'm having the same problem.
