Word doesn't recognize some misspelled words.
Occassionally word does not recognize my misspelled words. I typed the word
diagonosis in a document this morning, which I knew was incorrect, but I couldn't remember how to spell. I highlighted the word and asked for a spellcheck. Word said it was finished with the selection. I then finished my document, and ask for a check of the entire document, again, the error was not noticed. The error was noticed only after highlighting and asking for the Thesarus. I did check my dictionaries thinking that I may have inadvertently added the mispelled word, but it was not in my dictionary. |

In that case the word must have been formatted as "Do not check spelling or
grammar." Select just the word, go to Tools | Language | Set Language, check to see which language is selected, and make sure the "Do not check" box is not checked. -- Suzanne S. Thanks Suzanne, I did as you suggested, and the "Do not check: box was not
checked. Any other thoughts? "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: In that case the word must have been formatted as "Do not check spelling or grammar."
