Default I didn't mean to hit "Save", can I get back the original version .

I didn't mean to hit "Save", can I restore an earlier version of my word
document?

Only if you have Word set to automatically save a backup. (Note it only
saves _one_ backup of each file - from before the last save.) Otherwise, if
you back up your system and have an interim one with your old file.
