Hi Pat
You can download a template to create notation paper at http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/re...TC&Query=music. You can insert a few basic symbols at Insert Symbol. Or, if you have a Tablet PC, you can draw the notation on the staff paper. But Word wasn't designed to create "real" music. For that you need a specialist application such as Sibelius. Hope this helps. Shauna Kelly. Microsoft MVP. http://www.shaunakelly.com/word "pat heslip" pat wrote in message ... how can i do simple music notation in Word? |

If your budget is more beer than champagne, try Noteworthy Composer
(www.noteworthysoftware.com, US$39). It isnt' top of the line, but it's better than Word by a very long way. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Jezebel wrote: Sibelius is the way to go.
