Protected Document?
Hi Gang:
I am new to the Microsoft groups, so if I violate any rules, or etiquette, please let me know. Because I am one of the few people in our small company who have had any formal Office training, I have been drafted to support our Office users in Word, and they hope Excel. Here is my first unsolvable problem: A user has created a two section document with two sections, the first section is protected (as Form), the second section is unproteded. The second section contains a Table. When the document is protectded as described, we can type in the second section, but can not apply borders to the table. I can not for the life of me, discover why. Please help. |

Some of the formatting functions in Word are disabled in documents protected
for forms, even in unprotected areas or form fields. It is one of the limitations of online forms. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
