Default Mail as attachment

In Word 2003, I can not send the active file to an email recipient as an
attachment. I was able to do this but for some reason I can not do it now.
In fact the send to "mail recipient as attachment" option is not present and
the "Mail Recipient (for review)" option is greyed. I've seen other posters
with the same problem but no answer.

I added the following to my win.ini file. BTW, there was no [Mail] info in
the win.ini file until I put this in:
[Mail]
MAPI=1
CMC=1
CMCDLLNAME=mapi.dll
CMCDLLNAME32=mapi32.dll
MAPIX=1
MAPIXVER=1.0.0.1
OLEMessaging=1
