Default Margin markers?

It appears as though I have some "new" markers on my Word documents that
resemble "L" on the right margin and a "reversed L" on the left margin. How
can I get rid of these markers?

Thanks!

See "Margin marks or crop marks appear on each corner of the page when you
open a document in Word 2002 or in Word 2003"

If you've disabled support for all Asian languages and are still seeing
them, I don't know what else to do.
