Default Word/Windows Compatibility issues?

I just installed office 2003 on a 1999 Dell desktop with Windows 2000. These
should be compatible, but when I try to open Word, it gives me an error
message and says it has to close. It keeps doing this until i close it
altogether. Is this a windows/office compatibility issue or something else?

Run Microsoft Update until it stops updating things. I think you may be a
few service releases behind :-)

I can't say any more until you can tell me what the error message is.

Word 2003 runs well on Windows 2000 (probably better than it does on windows
XP) :-)

Cheers
