Track changes bug Word 2007?
Several lines of text adjacent to a tracked deletion disappear in print
layout view when using track changes in Word 2007 - it reappears when in 'draft' view and when using 'Final' instead of 'Final showing markup' option. We have track changes set to 'in-line' and show deletions using the caret '^' (or '#') symbol with inserted text set to 'colour only' for readability reasons. The problem resolves when using balloons or when using any other in-line deletion options such as 'strikethrough' - but this makes the document difficult to read. The text is also missing from the printout even after setting view to 'draft'. Also when a paragraph mark is deleted it turns red (colour of inserted text) and does not display the ^ symbol next to it as it used to in Word 2003. The line in the margin is also missing. I Cannot find any information on this bug on Microsoft's support site or via Is there a patch for this bug? |

I have experienced the same problem. Is there any solution or patch for this?

I have registered this problem with Microsoft and they have admitted
it is a bug and passed it on to their development team. Unless 2 more customers register the same complaint it is unlikely to make their knowledge base listing.
