Default The font IN THE TOOLBAR (that spell "FILE"; "EDIT"; "VIEW"; etc.)

The fonts that appear in my toolbar (and in the drop-down menus, like
"FILENew/Open/Close/etc.) somehow changed from the default Arial, to some
wimpy, thin, illegible serif'ed font. How do I change back? (Word 2002)

Thanks.

This has happened because you have changed the appearance of your Windows
setup. Minimise all windows, right click over your desktop and choose
Proeprties. Click on the Appearance tab at the top of the Properties window
and set the Item drop-down box to Menu. Change the Font box to Arial, click
OK and your menus should have changed.

The default is Tahoma. Have you deleted this font? Replace it from the
Windows disc.

Actually, I'd tried that, and it hadn't worked. Fortunately, my computer
died the next day (??related), so I've had to go out and get another one, and
learn how to use WinXP (I'd been happy with W98SE), so that the font in Word
is now far from my biggest problem. Thanks anyway

No; I love Tahoma, although I did delete a number of related fonts (Verdana,
etc.) Fortunately, my computer died the next day (??related) and had to be
replaced, so that my struggling with WinXP (from 98) percolates to the top.
Thanx anyway
